Ooooooh, A Double Header

I love it when I can figure out how to combine a challenge with one that I missed. Well, today's colors for the Color Challenge (Baja Breeze, Not Quite Navy, and Kraft) were great and I was able to come up with a card for tomorrow's Sketch Challenge using these three colors. I also got to ink up my NEW stamp set from Flourishes - Whooo Whooo! The flower is colored with Baja Breeze ink and an aquapainter!

Supplies Used:

Stamps: Thank You (Flourishes)
Ink: Black Stazon, River Rock
Cardstock: Kraft, Not Quite Navy
Other Supplies: Big Shot, Textile Texture Embossing Folder, Punch, Buttons, Dimensionals, Paper Piercing Tool

His and Her Cards

A friend from work and his wife have been wanting to come over and make cards for months, and we finally had a VERY fun card day last weekend. I designed these cards hoping that they would appeal to both of them - it's always difficult to come up with "guy" cards! I really love the pink and brown and blue and brown combinations. I am SOOO loving the silhouette stamps!
Supplies Used:
Stamps: En Francais, Essence of Love, Nature Silhouette
Ink: Stazon Brown
Cardstock: Pink Pirouette or Bashful Blue, Chocolate Chip
Other Supplies: Ribbon, Dimensionals, Brads, Butterfly Punch

CASING Jaydekay!

Today's Featured Stamper on Splitcoast Stampers is Jaydekay, who has an absolutely gorgeous gallery! It was difficult to select a card to CASE, but I am always drawn to texture and dimension so her paper tole card definitely caught my eye. I changed the color combination, embossing folders, used a Sizzix flower die instead of a stamped rose, and added a sentiment.
Supplies used:
Stamps: Circle of Friendship (SU)
Ink: Always Artichoke, So Saffron
Cardstock: Always Artichoke, So Saffron, Mellow Moss
Other Supplies: Big Shot, Embossing Folders, Punches, Sizzix Die Cut, Ribbon, Dimensionals, Distressing Tool

Another "Inspired" Card

I just can't get enough of that Baja Breeze card stock! The Inspiration Challenge from yesterday contained some beautiful Tenugui artwork in the form of calendars. The image that inspired this card and the card posted prior to it, is for the month of June.
Supplies Used:
Stamps: Upsy Daisy, Small Script (SU)
Ink: Versamark
Cardstock: White, Blue Bayou, Baja Breeze, Baja Breeze DP
Other Supplies: Flower Punch, Oval punches, Ribbon, Detail White Embossing Powder, Dimensionals

Tenugui Inspired!

Gosh, it has been awhile since I've made a card! Today's Inspirational Challenge on Splitcoast Stampers was a wonderful one to get me going again. I believe that this is the first time I have actually used the "grass" side of this stamp and I LIKE it! Since my new favorite color is Baja Breeze, I just had to combine it with white to make this card.
Supplies used:
Stamps: Inspired By Nature, Sidekick Sayings (Stampin' UP)
Cardstock: Baja Breeze (Stampin' UP), White (Georgia-Pacific)
Ink: Versamark
Other Supplies: Detail White Embossing Powder Ribbon, Butterfly Punch, Dimensionals, and a heat gun

I've Been Slacking!

Well, slacking is probably not the right word! I've been sick for the last two months with the crud that just wouldn't go away. Thank goodness for good antibiotics and cough syrup and some miracle stuff to clear the sinuses and I'm pretty much back to normal.

THEN, my poor sweet kitty got really sick which was a very expensive few days at the vet. He's doing better now and I'm hoping that 2009 will be a great year for lots of stamping!

Onward and Upward as my boss would say!
