Orangy Aloha

I made this card for the Treehouse Thursday Challenge #47 to use something "faux" on a birthday card. Well, this isn't a birthday card, but a good friend of mine has been in Hawaii for the past three weeks and is coming home today - on her BIRTHDAY! I thought this would be a great card to send to her - with the faux stitching. This is from a digital stamp set called "Aloha", that will be released on May 6.

Supplies:

Stamps: Aloha (Treehouse Stamps)
Ink: None
Cardstock: White, Wild Wasabi, Dusty Durango
Accessories: Punches, Buttons, Paper Piercing Tool, Prismacolor Pencils, Gamsol, Dimensionals

This is my card for this week's Treehouse Thursday Challenge, which is an inspiration challenge. Click on the link to view the inspiration piece.

There is no stamping on this card, since the sentiment is from a digital set being released today! I used punches to make the sprigs and the flowers, and nestibilities for the circles and scallop.

Supplies:

Stamps: Simply Heartfelt (Treehouse Stamps)
Cardstock: White
Ink: None
Accessories: DP, Ribbon, Printer, Punches, Big Shot, Nestibilities, Rhinestone Stickers, Buttons, Dimensionals

THT045 Paper Tole - WOW

I made this card for this week's Treehouse Thursday Challenge to use the paper tole technique. I don't think I've ever used this technique to this extent before. This card has a total of 4 layers for the sunflowers. I spent more time making this card than any other card I've ever made, but I LOVE the way it turned out. I used the cheaper 120# watercolor paper, and the prismacolor pencils blended amazingly well on it.

Supplies:

Stamps: Ashley's Doodles, Sunflower Bouquet (Treehouse Stamps)
Ink: None
Cardstock: Watercolor Paper, Dusty Durango, Soft Suede, White
Accessories: Big Shot, Embossing Folder, Ribbon, Button, Prismacolor Pencils, Gamsol

This week's Treehouse Thursday challenge is to make a card using lavender and yellow. Well, what a perfect opportunity to pay tribute to two of the Stampin' Up! colors that are retiring, Almost Amethyst and Barely Banana. I used this digital stamp from the set "Hello Friend," and colored it with markers.

Supplies:

Stamps: Hello Friend (Treehouse Stamps)
Ink: None
Cardstock: White, Barely Banana, Almost Amethyst
Accessories: Markers, Big Shot, Embossing Folder, Printer, Dazzling Diamonds, Ribbon, Buttons, Dimensionals
