Bring On The Music!

Thursday's Ways To Use It Challenge was to make a music themed card. Whoooo Hooooo! I love music and I've been hoarding the perfect designer paper for it! I really like how this "note card" turned out and will probably make an entire gift set for some music-loving person I know. It's very simple and quick, but also has a little big of elegance to it.
Supplies used:
Paper: SU Basic Black, Non-SU Designer Paper, White
Ink: Basic Black
Stamps: SU Lots of Thoughts
Other Supplies: Ribbon, Tag Punches

Dreamy Colors!

The Color Challenges are the most difficult for me because there's always one color that I can't, for the life of me, figure out how to use! This weeks Color Challenge was to use Whisper White, Basic Black, and River Rock on a card. Yipee! A color challenge that I can handle! I thought that these colors would be perfect for a subdued, simple sympathy card. Supplies used:
Stamps: SU Live Your Dream, Aida Cloth, Close As A Memory
Cardstock: SU Basic Black, River Rock, and White
Ink: Basic Black, River Rock
Other Supplies: Corner Punch, Ribbon, Brads

Mixin' It Up!

Monday's Technique Lover's Challenge was to MIX IT UP using designer papers. This card was made using designer paper from K & Company. I was hoping for more of a contrast, but this is how it turned out. Supplies used:
Stamps: SU Garden Silhouettes
Cardstock: SU Chocolate Chip, White Card Stock
Ink: Stampin'UP Markers
Ribbon: Green and Brown from JoAnn's/Michael's
Other Supplies: Brads, Foam Dots, Corner Punch

Beautiful Soft Sky

This card was made for today's Featured Stamper Challenge. I am really loving the new Swiss Dots embossing folder and am looking forward to using it on both neutral and colored cardstock. I also used my new stamp set "Friendship Blooms" for the first time for this card. Supplies used:
Stamps: Friendship Blooms by Stampin'UP!
Cardstock: Soft Sky, White
Ink: Blue Bayou, Soft Sky
Other Supplies: Ribbon, Buttons, Cuttlebug, Textile Texture and Swiss Dots Embossing Folders, Flower Punch, Soft Sky Designer Paper, and Foam Dots

Ewwwwww....Glorious Green!

This is my card for yesterday's Inspiration Challenge which included a refrigeration that was none other than "Glorious Green," my LEAST favorite color. Well, I thought I would attempt a card any way, and I actually like how it turned out. I also used this bird embellishment from "Me and My Big Ideas." Supplies used:
Stamps: Just B from Stampin'UP!
Ink: Blue Bayou, Glorious Green
Cardstock: Glorious Green, White
Other Supplies: Embellishment Paper from Making Memories, Brads, Punch, Cuttlebug, D'Vine Swirl Embossing Folder, Embellishment from Me and My Big Ideas, Foam Dots

Paisley With Hattitude

I just had to ink up another new stamp set, Hattitude! I have a friend who is a member of the Red Hatters, and I thought it would be great to make her a gift card set using purple and red and this great stamp set. Oh, and I really love this new Paisley embossing folder! This card is also for the Ways To Use It Challenge on SCS to create a window card. Supplies used: Real Red, Elegant Eggplant, and White cardstock, Cuttlebug, Embossing Folder, Ribbon, Hattitude Stamp Set, buttons, and foam dots.

Live Your Dream

Here is my first card with my new "Live Your Dream" stamp set and my Swiss Dots embossing folder. I used Stampin'UP markers to ink the stamp, then embossed the dots later. By simply adding a ribbon and sentiment I got a simple but elegant note card to send to a friend. After all, it is National Friendship Week! Supplies used: Cuttlebug, Swiss Dots embossing folder, Stampin'UP markers, punches, ribbon, and foam dots.

Bloomin' Bouquet

This card was made using another image from the "Bloomin Beautiful" set. I'm trying to use some of the designer paper I've been stockpiling, and really like how this turned out with the striped paper. Supplies used: Ribbon, metal embellishment, Basic Black ink, Making Memories designer paper, foam dots, Stampin'UP markers, and White, Almost Amethyst, and Mellow Moss cardstock.

Bloomin' Beautiful...Again!

Wow, I love this Bloomin' Beautiful set! I changed the colors and used multiple layers of Mellow Moss cardstock for a very different look than my first card with this set. I tend to lean toward more simple designs that can be used to create gift sets. Supplies used: Ribbon, Cuttlebug, D'Vine Swirls embossing folder, Stampin'UP! markers, foam dots, and Basic Black ink.

Essence of Love

This is my first card attempt with the "Essence of Love" stamp set. I think it will look wonderful stamped in a single color as a silhouette, or colored with markers to look like a flower garden. I've been hoarding this wedding designer paper but decided it was too perfect for this image to hoard! I also loved this sentiment - not as formal or serious as most wedding sentiments. Supplies used: Ribbon, Stampin'UP markers, foam dots, Cuttlebug, D'Vine Swirls embossing folder, and white and Almost Amethyst cardstock.

Froggie Pouch

Here is yet another project using my friend's "Unfrogettable" stamp set! This pouch was created for the Splitcoast Stampers Technique Lover's Challenge yesterday using an envelope. The frog image was stamped with Basic Black and colored with Stampin'UP! markers. The vests were drawn and colored with SU Markers as well. Other supplies used: Non-SU Designer Paper, Punches, Foam Dots, Ribbon, Googly Eyes.

A Whole Quartet!

Well, I just can't get enough of these cute little frogs! I made this "long and low" card so that I could create an entire froggie barbershop quartet. I used Lasting Impressions green and red designer paper, Always Artichoke cardstock, and white cardstock for the images. Again, I drew and colored the vests with Stampin'UP!
Other supplies used: Cuttlebug, Allegro Embossing Folder, SU Tag Punches, Oval Scallop Punches, Sanding Block, and Foam Dots.

Lots of Frogs

A good friend recently bought this cute "Unfrogettable" stamp set and graciously left it with me to play with. I have had a blast making frog cards and drawing little barbershop quartet vests on them and adding googly eyes and little bow ties. For the first card, I used my new Allegro Cuttlebug embossing folder for the background and scallop punches for the image. The frog is stamped with Basic Black and colored with Stampin' UP! markers.

Bloomin' Beautiful Stamp Set

Wow! I liked this set in the mini, but I really love it now that I have it in my hot little hands! This set will be very versatile and can be used for any occasion. Here is my first card with it. I used Basic Black Ink to stamp the flower and colored it with Stampin Up! Mellow Moss, Almost Amethyst, and Lavender Lace markers. I used my Cuttlebug and the Textile Texture Embossing Folder to create the embossed white layer, and layered white and Almost Amethyst card stock. The polka dot paper is from a pad of Embellishment Paper by Making Memories, and the ribbon is by Offray. The "Bloom" panel is elevated with foam dots.

Got A Blog?

Well, I am now joining most of the rest of the stamping world and starting a blog. I don't know that I have anything to say that people would be interested in, but here it goes! I love making cards both to send and to give as gifts, and it seems that my personal life is ALL about stamping and making cards and gifts.
